This picture was taken in my grandparents' home in Smoke Rise, New Jersey. Smoke Rise was (is) an elegant, gated community near Kinnelon. You can't get in unless you're with a realtor or you know someone who lives there. Good for keeping out the riff-raff.

I know this is so because I tried to pay a visit to the town a few years ago, but since my grandparents no longer live there, I was denied entry. Ah, well...I have my memories, anyway.
